11/13 - 3rd & 4th Blocks

Posted in Advanced Sophomores by blair.andress on November 13th, 2007

Tomorrow, we will review your verb pre-tests and see how you did on them. I will also give you an idea of what to expect on the verb test scheduled for Thursday. We will also conclude our reading of “The Fall of the House of Usher.” I realize that the syntax is tough and that Poe tended to be verbose, and that is why I have opted to allow the students to listen to the story and read along.

Make certain that you have the words to own written down with their definitions. You will need them tomorrow.

I really love E.A.Poe and everything, but he’s always been so hard to read. You kinda have to take it slow and disect every sentence to figure out exactly what he means. I read this story for the first time in like, 4th grade…yeah. talk about impossible.
